The Amazing Spider-Man 3: New Beginning (2025) official trailer kicks off with Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker reflecting on the loss and trauma from past battles.
Over a montage of familiar faces, we hear him narrating: “I’ve lost so much… but I keep moving forward.” His voice is somber as we see him standing at Gwen Stacy’s grave, paying his respects. The scene transitions to Peter back in his Spider-Man suit, swinging through the bustling streets of New York City, with renewed energy.
As he balances his life as Spider-Man and Peter Parker, a new threat emerges. The trailer introduces Dr. Miles Warren, aka the Jackal (portrayed by Matthew McConaughey), a brilliant yet unhinged scientist obsessed with cloning. Warren begins experimenting with Peter’s DNA, leading to the creation of a clone – the infamous Scarlet Spider, played by Timothée Chalamet. The reveal of the Scarlet Spider is a highlight, with his sleek red and blue suit mirroring Spider-Man’s iconic look, but with a darker, more ruthless edge.
Chaos ensues as Peter battles his clone, who has the same powers and abilities but is driven by anger and a desire to prove his superiority. Meanwhile, Peter’s personal life becomes even more complicated as he grows closer to Mary Jane Watson (Shailene Woodley), but struggles with the pain of his past losses.
In a twist, the trailer teases a massive confrontation between Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider, with the city caught in the crossfire. Explosive fight sequences show them tearing through New York, both physically and emotionally battling for survival. In one intense moment, Peter pleads with his clone: “You don’t have to be like me.”
But the Scarlet Spider responds coldly: “I was made to replace you.”
The trailer ends with a glimpse of another villain lurking in the shadows – Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan), with the final battle line drawn.
The title The Amazing Spider-Man 3: New Beginning appears, with the tagline: “You can’t outrun your past.”
