Set in South Korea, Buried Hearts unfolds as a high-stakes battle for control, where a corporate executive and a political mastermind clash over a missing fortune.
The series follows Seo Dong-ju (Park Hyung-sik), a secretive executive at Daesan Group, who successfully hacks into a 2-trillion-won political slush fund. However, his plan takes a dark turn when Yeom Jang-seon (Huh Joon-ho), a powerful figure, unknowingly kills the man who was hacked, setting off a dangerous chain of events. As Dong-ju loses his memory after a near-death experience, Jang-seon becomes desperate to reclaim the missing money, leading to a ruthless game of deception and survival.
Directed by Jin Chang-gyu, the series aired on SBS TV from February 21 to April 12, 2025, featuring Lee Hae-young, Hong Hwa-yeon, and Woo Hyun. Buried Hearts was praised for its intense storytelling and psychological depth, earning nationwide ratings of 15.4%.
