As Andy’s condition worsens, he grows weaker and starts to hallucinate. He devises a haunting but ingenious plan to keep Rosie safe once he turns: strapping her to his back and luring himself forward using meat on a stick — ensuring his infected self keeps moving toward potential safety for his daughter. In the climactic moments, Andy — now completely overtaken by the virus — is led by instinct and love alone. Thoomi, along with her Aboriginal community, finds them just in time. They euthanize Andy and take Rosie in, honoring his final act of love.Ending: A Glimmer of Hope
