Spider-Man 4: The Sinister Six (2025)

Review: Spider-Man 4: The Sinister Six (2025) – A Web of Chaos, Heart, and Heroism

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)

After months of speculation, leaks, and feverish fan theories, Spider-Man 4: The Sinister Six finally lands — and it’s everything you hoped for… and maybe a little more.

Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker in what may be his most personal and punishing adventure yet. Picking up in the aftermath of No Way Home, Peter is alone, off the radar, and trying to rebuild his life. But the world (and a team of very angry villains) has other plans.

Enter: the Sinister Six — a rogue’s gallery of bad guys brought together by a mysterious new player (no spoilers, but let’s just say the multiverse door hasn’t quite closed). Vulture, Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion, Rhino, and a multiversal twist on Doctor Octopus (played brilliantly by a returning fan favorite) all bring their own flavor of chaos.

What sets this film apart from previous entries is how tight the story feels despite the scale. Yes, the action is massive — including an aerial chase over the Statue of Liberty and a brutal underground brawl in NYC’s subway tunnels — but the heart of the film is still Peter. His struggle with identity, sacrifice, and loneliness adds real weight to the spectacle.

Zendaya’s MJ makes a limited but meaningful return, and there are strong supporting roles for Ned (now a tech genius in his own right), Daredevil (brief but impactful), and even a certain Daily Bugle loudmouth.

While a few of the villain arcs feel a bit rushed (hard not to with six egos in the room), the film’s pacing never drags. It’s fun, fast, and occasionally emotional in a way that hits harder than expected.

And the ending? Let’s just say it swings toward something very big for the future of Spider-Man — and the MCU.

In short, Spider-Man 4: The Sinister Six is a high-flying, villain-packed blast that proves why Spidey remains the heart of the Marvel universe.
