Cold Meat (2025)

Title: A Chilling Ride – Cold Meat (2025) Review
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Cold Meat (2025) is an icy thrill that sneaks up on you like frostbite in the dead of winter. Set against the hauntingly beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, this psychological thriller delivers a slow-burn tension that eventually boils over into absolute chaos.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) brings a raw, haunted energy to the role of David, a man trapped by a snowstorm—and his past. Opposite him, the breakout performance by newcomer Anna Lorette is magnetic. Her character is both mysterious and strangely sympathetic, keeping the audience guessing until the final scene.
Director Sébastien Drouin masterfully uses isolation as both a setting and a metaphor. The cinematography is stunning, with wide, suffocating snowfields that feel both beautiful and terrifying. Every frame drips with dread, every silence screams.
While the pacing in the middle drags just a bit, and some of the twists are slightly telegraphed, the atmosphere and character work more than make up for it. The film doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares—it gets under your skin and stays there.
In short: Cold Meat is not for the faint of heart, but if you like your thrillers dark, smart, and a little existential, this one’s for you.
