Van Helsing 2 (2025) First Trailer | Hugh Jackman

The first trailer for “Van Helsing 2” (2025) marks the return of Hugh Jackman as the legendary monster hunter, Van Helsing, in a dark and thrilling sequel that promises to expand the universe of classic horror and deliver a new chapter of supernatural adventure. Set years after the events of the original film, the sequel brings a fresh storyline filled with new monsters, ancient curses, and a deeper exploration of Van Helsing’s mysterious past.

The trailer opens with a haunting, fog-covered forest under a pale moon. A chilling wind howls, and in the distance, a faint roar echoes through the night. The camera pans through the darkened woods, revealing a shadowy figure sprinting at inhuman speed—a vampire fleeing for its life.

Suddenly, a silver-tipped crossbow bolt pierces the air, striking the creature mid-flight, and it disintegrates into dust. The familiar silhouette of Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) steps into view, reloading his crossbow with steely determination. His voiceover, deep and resonant, begins: “The world has changed… but the darkness remains.”

Quick flashes introduce the new setting: a sprawling, ancient European city shrouded in shadows and mystery. Gargoyles perch atop gothic cathedrals, and narrow cobblestone streets wind through markets filled with whispers of strange happenings. Van Helsing arrives in this city on a new mission, summoned by a secret society to investigate a series of gruesome murders linked to a resurgence of powerful supernatural beings.

The scene shifts to show Anna Valerious’ descendant (played by a new actress), who is revealed to be a key ally in Van Helsing’s latest quest. Together, they uncover a plot that suggests an ancient evil is rising once again—an evil connected to the very origins of Van Helsing’s curse as an immortal warrior. “They know who you are,” she warns him. “They’ve been waiting.”
