The Expendables 3 (2014 Movie) – Official Teaser Trailer – Sylvester Stallone & Jason Statham
The story kicks off with Barney Ross and his team—Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), and Toll Road (Randy Couture)—rescuing their former teammate, Doctor Death (Wesley Snipes), from a high-security prison. The Expendables are then assigned a mission by CIA operative Max Drummer (Harrison Ford) to take down an arms dealer named Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson), a ruthless and dangerous figure who co-founded The Expendables with Barney but later became a war criminal.
Stonebanks was thought to be dead, but he reappears, determined to destroy Barney and his team. Realizing that his older team may not be equipped to handle this threat, Barney disbands the original Expendables and recruits a younger, tech-savvy group of fighters, including John Smilee (Kellan Lutz), Mars (Victor Ortiz), Thorn (Glen Powell), and Luna (Ronda Rousey). This new team brings fresh skills and energy to the mission but lacks the experience of the original members.
As the mission unfolds, things take a turn for the worse when the younger team is captured by Stonebanks, forcing Barney to reunite with his original crew to mount a rescue. With the help of new and old allies, including the return of fan favorites like Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Yin Yang (Jet Li), Barney leads a full-scale assault to stop Stonebanks and save his team.
The film builds toward an explosive climax with plenty of over-the-top action sequences, including high-speed chases, massive shootouts, and hand-to-hand combat. The final showdown between Barney and Stonebanks is both personal and intense, as the two former comrades face off one last time.
The Expendables 3 is known for its star-studded cast, which also includes Antonio Banderas as the eccentric and comedic Galgo, and Kelsey Grammer as Bonaparte, who helps Barney recruit the new team. Mel Gibson’s portrayal of the villainous Stonebanks adds depth to the film, giving the Expendables a truly menacing and personal antagonist.
While the film continues the franchise’s tradition of delivering high-octane action and nostalgic nods to classic action movies, it received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the film’s cast and action sequences, while others criticized its toned-down violence (due to its PG-13 rating) and predictable plot. Fans of the series, however, enjoyed the larger-than-life spectacle and the return of their favorite action stars.
