Final Destination: Bloodlines is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, with a screenplay by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor. This marks the sixth installment in the Final Destination franchise.
Before the release of Final Destination 5 in 2011, series actor Tony Todd hinted at the possibility of two more sequels if the film performed well. In January 2019, New Line Cinema announced a new installment was in development, with Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan initially crafting a script described as a β€œre-imagining” of the franchise.
By March 2020, producer Craig Perry revealed the film would center around first responders, including EMTs, firefighters, and police officers. He clarified that while the film wouldn’t completely overhaul the franchise, it would still be a true Final Destination movie.
Series creator Jeffrey Reddick confirmed in October 2020 that plans for a sixth film were in motion before the COVID-19 pandemic.
