SNOW: Game of Thrones Trailer (2024) π₯π₯
A Jon Snow sequel is in the works, and this spinoff could essentially serve as Game of Thrones season 9 in all but name. When Game of Thrones concluded in 2019, it was apparent that HBO intended to continue exploring Westeros. Initially, the expectation was that the spinoffs would introduce entirely new stories, significantly removed from Game of Thrones. There were plans for multiple prequels, but direct sequels seemed unlikely.
This changed with the announcement of a Jon Snow sequel, featuring Kit Harington returning to the role that brought him fame, continuing his story post-Game of Thrones. Though the new series, titled Snow, will have its own creative team and won’t see the return of Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, it will remain closely tied to the original show. Unlike House of the Dragon, this spinoff will be deeply connected to its predecessor, making it the closest thing to Game of Thrones season 9.
