Set in South Korea, Doctor Lawyer unfolds as a high-stakes battle for justice, where a brilliant surgeon-turned-law battles corruption in the medical world.
The series follows Han Yi-han (So Ji-sub), a genius double-titled surgeon, who loses everything after a rigged operation ruins his career. Four years later, he returns as a lawyer specializing in medical litigation, collaborating with prosecutor Geum Seok-young (Im Soo-hyang) to expose negligence and demand accountability from powerful figures.
Directed by Lee Yong-seok, the series premiered on MBC TV on June 3, 2022, starring Shin Sung-rok, Lee Joo-bin and Lee Geung-young. Doctor Lawyer was praised for its intense court drama and captivating performances, though some critics found its plot predictable.
