A Boy Called Christmas is a magical adventure film based on the book by Matt Haig. It tells the story of a young boy named Nikolas, who lives in Finland with his father. They are very poor, but Nikolas believes in hope and magic.When the King announces a reward for anyone who can bring hope back to the kingdom, Nikolas’s father joins a group of men on a dangerous journey to find the legendary village of Elfhelm, said to be home to elves and magic. After his father doesn’t return, Nikolas decides to go find him.With the help of a talking mouse named Miika and a reindeer named Blitzen, Nikolas travels through the snowy wilderness. He finally discovers Elfhelm, but the elves there are afraid of humans because of a past betrayal.Nikolas must earn their trust and show them that kindness and hope still exist. Through bravery and compassion, he helps unite humans and elves, becoming the first “Father Christmas” (Santa Claus).
