Hard Target 2 (2016)

is an action-packed sequel to Jean-Claude Van Damme’s 1993 classic, Hard Target. Directed by Roel Reinรฉ, the film stars martial artist Scott Adkins, who brings his intense fighting choreography and physique to this stand-alone sequel.
In Hard Target 2, Adkins plays Wes Baylor, a former MMA fighter who has fallen into disgrace, tormented by a tragic accident in the ring. Lured to Thailand with the promise of a hefty paycheck for one last fight, Wes soon discovers he’s been tricked into becoming the prey of a deadly game of human hunting orchestrated by a ruthless billionaire named Aldrich (played by Robert Knepper).

Thrown into the wild with advantage and a small survival kit, Wes must outsmart and defeat a group of elite hunters who have paid for the thrill of tracking and killing a human target. As he makes way through rough terrain and evades sophisticated hunters, Wes changes the table, using his combat skills and instincts to fight back.
The film offers thrilling action, explosive stunts, and hand-to-hand combat sequences that showcase Adkins’ athletic prowess. While the plot follows a familiar formula, it stays true to the “man vs. hunter” genre with a modern touch and vigorous execution.
