Set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker, this new chapter teases a more mature and introspective take on the saga. We see Daisy Ridley return as Rey Skywalker, now a seasoned Jedi Master struggling to rebuild the Order in a fractured galaxy. Her presence is commanding, and the subtle shift in her costume design — darker robes, a more worn lightsaber — hints at the complexity of the journey ahead.

The trailer also introduces newcomer Jalen Marek (played by Euphoria’s Jacob Elordi), a powerful Force-sensitive orphan caught between the light and the shadows. His cryptic line — “The Force doesn’t belong to anyone anymore” — has already sent the fandom into theory overload.

Visually, it’s a feast. From rain-soaked ruins of old Jedi temples to sweeping shots of war-torn star systems, the tone feels like a mix of The Empire Strikes Back and Rogue One — grounded, epic, and emotionally charged. And yes, that haunting piano version of the classic Force Theme gave us chills.

Lucasfilm is clearly aiming to balance nostalgia with bold new storytelling. Cameos are hinted (some swear that was a silhouette of Grogu in the shadows), and there’s a glimpse of a mysterious masked antagonist wielding a double-bladed red saber — possibly a Knight of Ren survivor?
