Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023)

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes the beloved Transformers franchise to exciting new heights, blending classic robotic warfare with fresh, high-octane action and compelling characters. Directed by Steven Caple Jr., the film marks a new chapter in the Transformers universe by introducing the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons—bringing the Beast Wars era of the franchise into the fold alongside the iconic Autobots and Decepticons.
Set in the 1990s, the story follows Noah Diaz (played by Anthony Ramos), an ex-military electronics expert who gets caught up in the conflict between the Autobots and the newly introduced beast-like Transformers. Alongside Elena(played by Dominique Fishback), a museum researcher, Noah embarks on an adventure that takes them from the streets of Brooklyn to the jungles of Peru, where ancient secrets about the Transformers’ origins are uncovered. Their alliance with Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and his Autobots is tested as they battle against new enemies with ties to the past.
The film’s visual effects are nothing short of spectacular, bringing to life the towering, detailed robots and their beastly forms in a way that feels both epic and intimate. The action sequences are breathtaking, with massive robot-on-robot combat and thrilling vehicle chases that showcase the full potential of the Transformers’ abilities. The battle scenes are energetic and frenetic, but the film doesn’t forget to balance the action with emotional moments, particularly through the development of Noah and Elena’s characters.
