“Black Death” is a historical drama thriller directed by Christopher Smith, set during the bubonic plague in the 14th century. The story follows a young monk named Osmund (played by Eddie Redmayne) who is sent on a mission by the church to investigate a remote village where rumors of witchcraft and dark forces are believed to be the cause of the plague’s spread.The church sends a group of knights, led by the charismatic and ruthless Ulric (played by Sean Bean), to aid Osmund in uncovering the truth. As they arrive at the village, they find its inhabitants appear to be untouched by the plague, and strange supernatural happenings begin to unfold.
