Zack Snyder’s 300 Best Scenes

After developing two Netflix properties, Zack Snyder may return to Warner Bros. for a 300 prequel. The 2006 film version of Frank Miller’s graphic novel depicts the Gerco-Persian War fight in which 300 Spartans, headed by Leonidas I, held off in one of history’s most famous last stands. The film earned mixed-to-positive reviews and over $456 million worldwide, launching Snyder’s career as a blockbuster director. It also produced a 2014 sequel, Rise of an Empire, set before, during, and after its predecessor.
Variety reports that Warner Bros. Television is developing a 300 prequel miniseries roughly 20 years after the film version of Frank Miller’s graphic novel. Sources say Snyder is in talks to direct and executive produce the show with his wife, Deborah Snyder, though no writer has been announced. Movie producers and executive producers Wesley Coller, Gianni Nunnari, Mark Canton, and Bernie Goldmann are also in talks to return.
