The first trailer for the highly anticipated “The Mask of Zorro” (2025) brings back the iconic swashbuckling hero in a new and exhilarating reboot, starring Diego Luna as Don Diego de la Vega, the legendary masked vigilante, and Eiza González as Elena, a fierce and determined ally. The film reintroduces audiences to the timeless tale of a hero fighting for justice, set against the backdrop of colonial California.

The trailer opens with sweeping shots of the Mexican countryside, its golden plains and shadowed mountains evoking a sense of grandeur. A low, suspenseful score accompanies Diego Luna’s voiceover: “In a land of oppression, one man can spark a revolution.” The camera reveals a corrupt, tyrannical regime imposing its will on the local population, with soldiers brutally enforcing order.

We are then introduced to Diego Luna as Don Diego de la Vega, a seemingly unassuming nobleman living under the oppressive regime.
