“Die Hard” (1988) is an action film directed by John McTiernan. The story follows NYPD officer John McClane (Bruce Willis), who is visiting his estranged wife, Holly (Bonnie Bedelia), in Los Angeles during her company’s Christmas party. The party is abruptly interrupted when a group of terrorists, led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), take the guests hostage in the Nakatomi Plaza skyscraper.

McClane, who is initially unaware of the situation, discovers the terrorist plot and decides to take matters into his own hands. Using his wits and resourcefulness, he fights against the terrorists, attempting to free the hostages and thwart their plans. As he battles through the building, he also tries to reconnect with Holly and save her from harm.
