Battleship 2 (2025)

Battleship 2 takes audiences on an intense, high-octane ride a decade after the events of the first film. With Earth still recovering from the alien invasion, a new and even more menacing extraterrestrial threat emerges. Admiral Shane (Liam Neeson) leads a global naval coalition that faces a terrifying new breed of aliens, evolved from the invaders of the past, with advanced warships capable of manipulating Earth’s oceans, causing tsunamis and whirlpools to wreak havoc on coastal cities.

As this new alien force draws closer, Commander Cole Hunter (Jason Statham), a rebellious Navy SEAL, is pulled back into action. His team uncovers a submerged alien base, hinting at a devastating new plan to target Earth’s core for energy. Hunter teams up with Lena Carter (Gal Gadot), a skilled international intelligence operative with a special talent for decoding alien technology. Together, they realize that these extraterrestrials are bent on draining Earth’s energy resources, putting the entire planet in grave danger.

The film’s intense, action-packed climax sees Admiral Shane commanding the coalition fleet, using a mix of human ingenuity and reverse-engineered alien tech to battle the extraterrestrial warships in the Pacific Ocean. Meanwhile, Hunter and Carter launch a daring underwater assault to infiltrate the alien mothership. Their mission is critical: to disable the aliens’ energy weapon and prevent global destruction.

In the final act, Battleship 2 delivers heart-stopping moments of sacrifice and heroism. Cole Hunter’s selfless act of destroying the alien core secures Earth’s survival, though not without tremendous cost. The movie ends on a cliffhanger, as Lena decodes a mysterious distress signal from the aliens, suggesting they may retaliate in the future, leaving the door open for potential sequels. With Liam Neeson’s commanding leadership and Gal Gadot’s resilient performance, this explosive sequel concludes with a powerful emotional punch and sets the stage for a thrilling continuation of the saga.
