The Scythian (2018) is a gritty, action-packed historical epic set in the turbulent world of the ancient Scythian warriors, a nomadic tribe known for their skill in horseback combat and archery. The film opens with Ilya’s capture during a raid on his village, which sets off a chain of events that leads him to seek revenge and to protect his people from the impending invasion of Persian forces.

As Ilya teams up with Vargan (played by Sergey Belyavsky), an experienced Scythian warrior, they form an unlikely alliance in their bid to rally the Scythians against the looming threat.
