The story follows Adam (played by Andrew Scott), a lonely screenwriter living in a modern, somewhat sterile apartment in London. Adam’s life takes an unexpected turn when he begins to reconnect with his deceased parents in a mysterious and surreal manner.

When his childhood home is suddenly restored and he encounters his long-dead parents, played by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, Adam must navigate his feelings of guilt, loss, and emotional longing. At the same time, he begins a tender romantic relationship with Harry (Paul Mescal), a man who has his own scars from the past.
