Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever begins with the world in mourning following the death of T’Challa. Under the leadership of Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Wakanda faces mounting pressure from other nations eager to access its precious vibranium. Amid this turmoil, a new threat arises in the form of Namor (Tenoch Huerta), the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Talokan. Determined to protect his people and their vibranium reserves from exploitation, Namor’s vengeful actions lead to a fierce conflict with Wakanda.

Shuri (Letitia Wright), T’Challa’s sister, and Okoye (Danai Gurira), the leader of the Dora Milaje, struggle to cope with the grief of losing their king, while also confronting the danger posed by Namor’s forces. Shuri, particularly affected by the death of her brother, is faced with the challenge of stepping into his role as the Black Panther, knowing that the kingdom’s survival depends on finding a new protector.

As Namor launches a series of attacks on Wakanda, both sides find themselves in a battle not just for vibranium, but for the future of their people. Namor’s tragic backstory is revealed: born of the vibranium-rich waters, he has lived for centuries and is fiercely protective of his civilization, believing the outside world poses a great threat to it.

The film delivers breathtaking action sequences, including intense land and underwater battles, and shows the growing alliance between the Wakandans and the Talokans. In the end, Shuri rises to embrace her brother’s legacy, becoming the new Black Panther and securing Wakanda’s future while fostering peace between the two nations.

The emotional conclusion honors T’Challa’s memory with a heartfelt tribute to Chadwick Boseman, marking a pivotal moment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Shuri’s journey of personal growth and healing culminates in her becoming a symbol of hope for her people. Wakanda Forever is a powerful exploration of resilience, leadership, and the legacy of a hero, featuring standout performances from Letitia Wright and Angela Bassett, as well as stunning visuals that expand the world of Wakanda and the MCU.
