Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010)

Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010) is a historical drama television series set in ancient Rome, focusing on the life of Spartacus, a gladiator who leads a slave revolt against the Roman Empire. The series begins with Spartacus (played by Andy Whitfield), a Thracian warrior, being betrayed and sold into slavery after his village is destroyed.

He is forced to fight as a gladiator in the ludus (gladiator school) of Batiatus, a corrupt and cruel owner in Capua.
As Spartacus rises through the ranks of gladiators, he forms a deep bond with his fellow warriors, including Crixus, a powerful Gaul, and Naevia, a slave woman he falls in love with.

Meanwhile, Spartacus becomes entangled in the brutal world of Roman politics, betrayal, and intrigue, all while plotting his escape and seeking revenge for the death of his wife, Sura.
