Vlad the Impaler (2018)

Vlad the Impaler (2018), also known as Deliler, is a Turkish historical action film directed by Osman Kaya. Set in the 15th century during the height of the Ottoman Empire, this film tells the gripping story of a band of elite Ottoman warriors, known as the Deliler or “The Madmen.” Tasked with a dangerous mission, these fierce fighters are sent by Sultan Mehmet II to confront the ruthless Vlad the Impaler, the notorious ruler of Wallachia.

Vlad, played by Erkan Petekkaya, is portrayed as a merciless leader who uses brutal methods, including the horrific act of impaling his enemies, to maintain control and instill fear. In response to Vlad’s reign of terror, Sultan Mehmet II (Cem Uçan) assembles seven warriors from the Deliler unit, led by the formidable Akinci Bey Gokkurt, to put an end to his brutal practices and restore peace.
