Skyline (2010)๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

“Skyline” (2010) is a science fiction film directed by Greg and Colin Strause. The story begins with a group of friends in Los Angeles who are awakened in the middle of the night by mysterious blue lights descending from the sky. These lights are part of an alien invasion that lures people outside and abducts them using tractor beams. The protagonists, Jarrod and Elaine, along with their friends, must navigate the chaos and figure out a way to survive as the aliens wreak havoc on the city.

As the situation escalates, they realize that the aliens are harvesting humans for their brains to power their technology. The film is notable for its impressive visual effects, given its relatively low budget. Critics, however, gave mixed reviews, often pointing out weaknesses in the storyline and character development. Despite this, “Skyline” has gained a cult following for its ambitious scope and intense action sequences. The movie explores themes of survival, desperation, and the human will to fight against overwhelming odds. A sequel, “Beyond Skyline,” was released in 2017, expanding on the original’s universe and continuing the battle against the extraterrestrial invaders.

Jarrod (ERIC BALFOUR) is irresistibly drawn toward the alien light in “Skyline”. In the sci-fi thriller, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.
